Lifetime is showing this movie on Sat. and Sun. nights this weekend.It is based on the book with the same title. Link  to story in today's local paper about the movie.

Thanks for the reminder.  I thought I missed it already.  I read the book not too long ago and it had me in tears and I'm not a crier.  My heart just hurt so much for him (Bobby) and for his mother who was so wrapped up in her religious belief that she refused to see and rejected what was right in front of her.  It was so sad to see someone struggle to accept himself, and just be who he was all while so many around him did not.  Hope the TV movie don't suck.

I really enjoyed it. Thought it was VERY well done.
