When I have multiple versions of a book on my WL and then receive a copy of the book (or buy it), I  take the other versions off my WL.  Then I smile at the thought of the folks that were behind me on all the versions for that book logging onto PBS, checking their positions and finding they moved up in the WL queue.

So when are you going to take my books off and move me up?  :)

Ray, I'm sorry.  I can't help you out.  We don't have anything in common on our Wish Lists.  Although a few of your wishes I might like to read myself.   Sometimes I take a look at forum posters' WLs to see if I have something to offer them.  I never have anything to offer that matches what they are looking for, but I always get additional ideas for my own WL.

different way of thinking of it. yeah i just reserved 2 books off my wishlist via the library and they've finally arrived at my local branch for pick up. after i pick them up, i'll remove myself from the wishlist queue and i'll move folks up one spot!

I rarely wishlist more than one version of a book (though I do have a couple I 'really' want that I've done 2 versions on the WL...however, those are all fairly uncommon and have been on the WL for over a year) so I have to find other ways to reduce the WL waiting time.

I like to do my part by trying not to complain when I post a wishlisted book and it goes through 2 or 3 or more declines or time outs before someone actually accepts the book. It's a pain in the butt waiting, but I bet the folks behind those people in line are happy!

I have a book on the way that is only entered into the PBS system about once a year (maybe twice)...soon as it arrives I'm removing it from my wishlist, some other members are going to be thrilled!  If it doesn't make my keeper shelf, they are going to be thrilled again when I swap it :-)
