OK, I'm moving to another state. I don't want to receive any requests for the month I'm moving but I''d still like to receive offers from my wish list. Is it possible to do this? It doesn't look like it is but I just want to double check before I put a vacation hold on my account.

Put the books you want on autorequest and your account on vacation hold. Then you will still get your wishlisted books but your bookshelf is on hold.

I wouldn't request any books past 2 wks before you move date.  Media Mail may or may not be forwarded and if it's returned to the sender or forwarded it will be charged a higher postage rate on the 2nd trip.

Could you temporarily change your address here to one of your family members until you're moved in? That way, you wouldn't have to worry about the books being undeliverable.

There is the feature at the top of your wish list to select all books, then click the auto-request button.  Or select just the ones you want to put on auto.  When it is closer to the move, you can select all the books to turn off the auto request.  Wonderful options.  (Thank you PBS!)

Do think about putting in the new address as soon as you can.  You can always submit a mail hold on the other end if you know the address already.  (This can be done on line.)

Thanks everyone. The auto request option is perfect.

Or you could have all your books sent to me.  You know, for quality inspection.

I think that is a grand idea, Send them to Whitney then she can send them to me and I can forward them to you. Think of all the stress you will save. (And all the credits I can save!)

Sounds like a plan!  When do we start?

Good luck with your move! Just remember that Media Mail is not forwardable, so be sure to remove the auto-request option plenty of time before you actually move, otherwise you may never see those books--unless you've changed your address here to the new one and that new address is already accepting your mail.
