Delightful, funny with mystery, mayhem and recipes! LOL with this one.
As always a delicious piece of cozy by Nancy Fairbanks. Am finding that the murderer's identity is identifiable earlier on but this could be because I'm now used to Fairbank's writing style and what to watch for vs the inability to disguise the killer.
What a delight, the introduction of a new character, Bianca. Am looking forward to seeing how Nancy Fairbanks works Bianca's character into this series and the part she'll play in the next installment. Once again, Jason takes a back seat, more to come?
7th in the series
7th book in the Carolyn Blue culinary mystery series
The story was very well crafted and held my attention until the end. However I didn't really care for the changing back and forth between characters as the narrator. I did like the descriptions of the area and the history tid bits thrown in. I will read more in the series.
Great series with travel and recipes
As strange as this is going to sound, I really enjoyed this book. I say it's strange because Carolyn was even more obnoxious than usual. And one of the perspectives the story is given from is someone who isn't too impressed with her. It made Carolyn more human to me.
I didn't give it a perfect score because Ms. Fairbanks was really heavy on the descriptions of the various sites. It's good for creating a mental image, but I thought it was a bit much.
Food writer finds mystery and mayhem in Sorrento, Italy. A couple of good recipes, too.
Typical of the cozy mystery genre. Includes recipes for some tasy Italian dishes. Not one of my favorite cozy mystery authors, but was a satisfying read
One of a mystery series featuring "forty-something homemaker" Carolyn Blue who has embarked on a new career as a food writer. Includes food history and recipes.
a culinary mystery set in Italy with recipes.
If you enjoy traveling and different types of
foods along with recipes then you'll enjoy this book.
Carolyn Blue and her trips to find great food are always great fun!
this whole series is great......the dog on the cover of the book is actually in the story and is good for lots of entertainment.....I've read all the books so far in the series and plan to read the rest of them.
