Mr. Blue by Myles Connolly - easy read, simple on the surface, profound in its depth. Charming, personable, whimsical Mr. Blue goes from rags to riches then willingly back to rags. A tale of how poverty and suffering enabled him to find immeasurable joy; enabled him to fully engage his faith. [5/5]
Short novel about a modern mystic (in St.Francis mode) who eschews materialism and lives for the moment. There is a story within the story - a man, living in an atheistic future society who dares to offer a Mass.
