This is the second pb printing by Graf. The cover is different image, but same ISBN number. Another Campion British crime novel, which I relish.

Written by Phillip Youngman Carter, this is the last of the Campion books. It is less successful that his earlier books because it lacks the characteristics of Allingham's Campion books. There are no wonderful British eccentrics which populated Allingham's books nor are there any of those touches of the fantastic which characterize books like the Mind readers. Nonetheless, a pretty good read.
