This is the sequel to Rebecca by Daphne DuMaurier. It is now England and Maxim De Winter and his second wife are trying to start over after Manderley burned. But their lives are still haunted by Rebecca.
I enjoyed reading the sequel after so many years of thinking about Rebecca - the first book.

Great follow-up to Rebecca. Consistent in style and themes. I really enjoyed it.

Susan Hill does an excellent job with her sequel to "Rebecca." You could easily believe it's the original author. The same suspense, love of nature, interesting characters & uneasiness prevail. I hated the ending, however. If you liked "Rebecca," you must read this!
This book is a worthy successor to Rebecca.
A captivating novel. If you liked Rebecca you will like this too. I would like to read more novels like this.
