I enjoyed Mrs. Pollifax, she's such an interesting woman! Quick read, somewhat dated.

I actually think Mrs. Pollifax took a real "vacation" this time. There was a lot of adventure and intrigue, but Mrs Pollifax was given the "easy" part, while someone else had to worry about getting the "prize" out of the country. There was a lot more history, too. All-in-all, a very good read.

This was the first Mrs. Pollifax story that I've read - this series was recommended by a friend. I was not disappointed as the story took me on a fun journey through China. Good chance I'll read another from the series.

Another great plot involving the unforgettable Mrs. Pollifax. In this book Emily (Mrs. Pollifax) is sent to China on an "assignment" that she is warned can be dangerous. She goes as a 'cover' for another agent....and thus begins her adventure. Love all of Gilman's books...great characters and plots.

Emily is sent to Red China as a member of a tour...her mission seems impossible but her resourcefulness knows no bounds. I enjoyed it thoroughly. A quick read too.
