"Lady Lucinda Malcolm Pembroke's paintings may have caused scandals in the past, but never one of this magnitude. Somehow she's painted a perfect likeness of a man she's never met--and depicted him as a murderer! Determined to flee the gossip surrounding her and the mysterious Sir Trevelyan Rochester, she assumes a disguise and escapes to a remote cottage, only to find herself face-to-face with her dashing nemesis...

Trev wants nothing more than a quiet life in his ancestral home, but suddenly all of England is convinced he's a ruthless killer. Now he must force the lovely incognito artist to admit her true identity and confess her plot to ruin him--before he falls madly under her spell and refuses to let her go..."

This is fun and romantic read full of situations where these two people at odds with each other are pushed together!

London, 1755. Another of Rice's stories of the Malcolm women. This one about Lady Lucinda Malcolm Pembroke whose magical gift lands her in deep trouble with the mysterious Sir Trevelyan Rochester who has been denied by his aristocratic grandfather because of Trevelyan's mixed blood on his mother's side. Attention-holding love story.

She paints pictures of things that haven't happened yet, so why does she show a picture she painted of someone she never saw...

I love the Malcolm women and their adventures! This one is Lucinda, who paints a perfect likeness of a man she's never met - and depicts him as a murderer! Then to escape the gossip, she hides in a remote cottage, only to meet the man in the painting face-to-face.
