With two women slaughtered, all the police have to go on is a taunting letter from the maniac and a missing witnesswho finally turns up a corpse numberthree. But one of the victims had the good sense to be a client of Texas lawyer John Lloyd Branson.
With his usual brilliant aplomb- and the eager assitance of the lovely law student Lydia Fairchild-Branson finds a familiar method in the madness; that of one of historys most notorious serial killers.
