Mary Alice and Patricia Anne end up in the Birmingham jail for attacking a bank president. A must read to learn why Mary Alice attacked the bank president and to find out why Patricia Anne's neighbor was shot and his house set on fire.
I love this series! This is a funny, fun, cozy mystery book with the Southern Sisters again. Anne George is now gone, but her books will live on and be cherished!
Sixth 'Southern Sisters' cozy mystery set in Birmingham, Alabama and featuring two sixty-something sisters, Patricia Anne (Mouse) and Mary Alice (Sister.) This book sees Patricia Anne's neighbor and good friend Mitzi pulled into a murder investigation when her husband Arthur is accused of killing his first wife, Sophie. Sophie had recently returned to town and had some chronic medical problems. She had changed her will to name Arthur executor just two days before she was poisoned--while eating lunch with him. Sister and Mouse just happened to be in the Hunan Hut at the same time and are drawn into the whole mystery. Enjoyable visit to Birmingham as usual, and it saddens me to know the series only has two more books to go.
Fun, clean, entertaining.
A fun read! Ms. George does not dissapoint in this continuation of the Southern Sisters Mystery series.
I have enjoyed all books in this series
This is the first book by Anne George that I've read and won't be my last. Has some intrigue, but the kicker is the humor. Haven't read many books that make me chuckle or downright laugh out loud.Would love to be in the Southern Sisters family where there would never be a dull moment.
This Southern Sisters mystery is another quick, zany adventure. I enjoyed this one just as much as the others in this group.
Mouse and Sister are hilarious. Find out how they end up in the Birmingham Jail.
Patricia Ann's neighbor is charged with murder. She knows he could never hurt anyone and sets out to prove it. Very good book
Very good book and good series about two elderly sisters.
A wonderful and humorous series! Unfortunately, Anne has passed away, so we have to savor the books we have about the "southern sisters."
Great series, fun mystery and southern Charm
The sisters are so funny together, typical sibling antics. Funny, funny.
Lots of refernces to food and eating. Ok mystery series.
Patricia Anne would swear that either she or her sister Mary
Alice were switched at birth, except they were both born at home. Flashy, flirtatious Mary Alice is one foot taller, twice the body weight of Patricia Anne, and three times as likely to do something completely off the wall. But now Mary Alice's impulsive behavior has landed them both in the Birmingham jail. They are always getting into trouble....but wht fun this trouble is.
