Another interesting murder plot. Cookie is killed with an antique pin. Skye is a suspect as this happens outside of Wally's jurisdiction. Speaking of Wally, Simon is away at a convention, and Wally is there to pick up the pieces when Skye is attached. Hmmmmm....and who answers the phone at Simon's friends house? Always full of subplots. Justin and Frannie, Trixie and Owen.....I love all the characters.

Another great book in the Scumble River series. In order to purchase the cottage she currently rents, Skye takes a job as an assistant to her uncle in coordinating a 100 mile yardsale. But are the hassles worth the money? And she won't get anything if she doesn't complete the job which not only includes pacifying her uncle, but handling all the sellers, including the ~unique~ entry of the famous Doosier clan. A great fun read!

Scumble River is haviing its First Annual Route 66 yard sale. Yard sales bring out the worst in people and no one knows this better than Skye Denison, the person in charge.
But when Cookie Caldwell is murdered it goes beyond bad manners at yard sales.

This author writes like she is talking to you at lunch; the heroine is so believable and down-to-earth. I wish she was my friend!

If you want an easy to read book, Denise Swanson is your writer. She is a delight. I've not found a one of her books I haven't enjoyed! She can definitely put a lift in one's spirit even with a dark subject. If you haven't read any of her books, this is your chance!
