All by Myself
Author: Aliki
Run to the bathroom, fast as an elf. Sit, wash, brush, all by myself. There are all sorts of things independent children can do -- dress, undress, button, zip, scrub, rub, paint, and write -- all by themselves. This is Aliki's exuberant celebration of the joys of mastering these skills -- morning, noon, and night.

Aliki has provided a rambunctious travel through the day of a very fun boy, who has chores, school, and even violin practice--like many other youngsters. With an emphasis on responsibility, kids that are learning to do things for themselves (and the relieved parents) will get a kick out of following his day, and may even get some ideas of their own (like helping with dinner!).
