Librarian Nancy Pearl shares some mysteries that we might have missed. I thought people here might appreciate it! There's an audio interview and a written list with descriptions as to why she recommends the books.

I'm getting "Page Not Found" on your link but I love NPR.  I listen every morning on my way to work.  They spotlight authors from time to time and my TBR has grown from their suggestions.

Hmmm... the link is working for me now. Perhaps they were having some site troubles?

Thanks for the link--I just added several of these to my WL or RL.  Gotta love NPR!

Thanks for the link.  I will move Josephine Tey's Brat Farrar to the top of  my TBR.

Valerie, please let me know what you think about it!

Yes, I'm nosy and curious! And always looking for a new good read! :)

I haven't read it in years, but I loved Brat Farrar.

Skull Mantra by Eliot Pattison was excellent.  He is now one of my favorite authors.  I also enjoyed Bone Mountain which, I believe, is the third book in the series.

I just got The Manual of Detection in the mail from Amazon.  I'm very, very excited to read it.
