This book isn't as good as the other MYTH books that Asprin put out. He goes back and tells a backfill story that takes place before Skeeve and Aahz get hooked up in the mob and establish a business at the bazaar. Skeeve is still the court magician at Posseltum. It still is an enjoyable read for fans of the series, just not one of his best.

This isn't one of the best of the Myth books, but it's been a long time since I read the rest.

It was what you would expect from a Myth book - light, fun, punny, mindless fantasy.

I absolutely love the Myth series by Robert Aspirin. Once again, he has not let me down. Skeeve and his companions will have you laughing in your seat.
