The last week of the regular season.  :(   Didn't we just start the season?    No Thursday or Monday night game this week, all games are on Sunday..

Sunday, January 1

But we still have the playoffs (playoffs-did somebody say playoffs???) to continue to make picks from!

I am really going to miss MNF's  "Come on Man" segment every week.  Oh well.

Wow!  Good thing I checked in.  For some reason, I thought I already put in my picks.  Wasn't happy when the Giant game got flexed to Sunday night.  Even though Cowboys haven't won a Sunday night game in ages, G-men usually stink at home too.  They do better w/o a home field advantage... go figure.  Our only hope is that Pierre Paul goes octupus on Romo & Cruz gets to Salsa the night away.

Want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year!

Congrats Joy & Bettyjean on your teams winning! I enjoyed the Cruz Salsa. Robinson tried a version of it unsucessfulyy in my opinion.

Sorry Alex about your teams loss:( There's always next year, right:)

Guess I'll have to do some reading tomorrow since there's no MNF:( ARGH!

Congrats to Joy & Cyn on your wins - can't believe how Brady managed to come back from such a huge deficit.  Sorry Alex, I caught the score at the beginning and actually thought they might pull it off.

If anyone could have seen the antics I went through because of my superstitions, they would have thought I was insane.  I was wearing new Christmas flannel PJs for the first 1/2 of game & my youngest son was watching in his bedroom.  These freaking pants must be made for people who live in Alaska because I was sweating so bad that I changed them during halftime.  My son also came out of his room to join us in the living room. Of course that's when we started seeing a momentum shift going to Dallas.  I ran and changed back to those heavy (but lucky!) pjs and I'm ashamed to say I was relieved when my son volunteered to return to his room for the 4th qtr.  OMG I'm such a bad mother.  The very next play, Cruz caught that long pass and I was feeling so much better.  You know that I am not washing those pjs and will be wearing them (and sweating) again next Sunday.

You are right Cyn.... I wasn't happy to see Robinson doing that Salsa.  He should have known that the last player that made fun of Cruz by doing his dance in the end zone also ended up losing the game.

Thanks Bettyjean:) That is too funny about the flannel PJ's. So what part of flannel made u think they wouldn't be hot???? Hmmmm. LOL:) Now you're being just like me about wearing something lucky for the game. But I did wash my socks. But then again look how the Bears ended up. So that must've been what I did wrong by washing them. Ha-ha:) My son & hubby stared at me when I screamed when Cruz ran in for the TD & did the salsa. Did u hear the music they played? My son got a kick out of that. I didn't realize that the last player that imitated Cruz lost the game too. Well that'll teach them! Good luck to your G-men:)

Well, Cynthia, you'll know next year not to wash your lucky socks.  Congratulations on the Bears win, and Bettyjean congrats on the Giants beating the Cowboys!  Sorry, Alex, that we beat up on your Bills so much, but you must have been at least a llittle happy that Miami beat the Jets, keeping them out of the playoffs.  I know I was!!  Thanks all for your congrats on the Patriots win.  They are going to have to play well for a full four quarters.  Yesterday it looked like they couldn't get out of their own way during the first quarter and I was really sweating.  Without the benefit of your pajamas though, Bettyjean. Now we can turn our attention to the Wild Card weekend.  I'll get those up soon.

How we did:

  • Joy                13-3
  • Cynthia          12-4
  • Bettyjean       11-5
  • Alex               11-5

If I get real energetic, I'll figure out the final scores for the season.

Congrats to Joy.  This season has been too much for me.  Thank goodness the pain can stop.  Watching the Jets lose was a good note to end the season.  It was a pleasure participating with you all for the past 17 weeks.  Now, on with the playoffs.
