I had been introduced to Sara Douglass through her Wayfarer Redemption series (also excellent!) and was so eager to read this trio. I loved it, especially because it was much more historical fiction and less of the fantasy aspects of her other books. You'd almost not realize you were reading a fantasy series! Highly recommend.
