Anybody reading this? Anybody like it?  I'm looking for something to redeem it.   I loved the first one, but this is awful.  What were they  thinking? 

I haven't read it yet, but the person who sent it to me emailed me a heads up kind of like what you just wrote - she was warning me it wasn't as good as the first!

Well, I've decided life is too short (and my TBR pile is too large) to read bad books.  It's gonna get posted.

It was only okay for me...I think my major problem was that I didn't remember what happened in The Nanny Diaries so it was confusing for me for awhile

Oh bummer! I hadn't heard there was a second one that came out but I loved the first one.

I got it for Christmas. I hope I like it. :-( I always feel bad swapping books that were gifts for some reason.

I didn't like the first one and I definitely won't be reading this one.

Thanks for the heads up! I was considering buying it. I think now I'll just wait for it to come up on my WL. :)

Maybe that's why the WL is moving fairly fast? I seem to be moving up faster than usual for a book so recently released (and since I WLed after it was already past 100 wishers).

Just saw this thread and thought I would throw my 2 cents in about it  :)  I just tried to read it.  Got through about 50 pages and gave up.  I highly recommend re-reading the first one before trying this one.  I didn't and was so confused by who everyone was again.  That, for me, made it confusing and uninterested.
