Three female friends get together for the 20th anniversay of "The Night Swimmers." A tradition they started after college of meeting at midnight the Friday night of every Labor Day to drink champagne, swim, and share secrets. Only this time, one of the women disappears into the water and does not come out. What follows are even more surprises as the two remaining deal with the aftermath.

This was one of my favorite Elin Hilderbrand stories. I hated for it to end!

This was a very exciting book. I have just started reading Elin Hilderbrand's books recently and so far I
think this is the BEST one yet! The book catches you right from page 2!!! I read it all day and night till I was finished as I kept trying to guess the ending....this book really has lots of twists to it! Want to stay up late some night when you have nothing more exciting to do? Then READ this book!!!!! 5 Stars !

These characters were not as believable or likable as they are in other Hildebrand books.

Good story, great ending. I like the writing style but I had a hard time caring about the characters.

Interesting read...the story is like none other before; many books have predictable outcomes with predictable characters, but not this one. Twist after twist, it keeps you guessing and continually surprises you. And the ending makes you think long after you finished the book. Highly recommended for a change of pace.

I love Elin Hilderbrand but I was not really a fan of this book. I ended up skimming though the last quarter of the book and I thought the ending was tied up much to easily.

This is not one of Elin Hilderbrand's better novels. The characters are unlikable, the plot is unbelievable and the overall story concept is amateurish. The main protagonist, Kayla, is written to be dumpy and naive because she is faithful to her husband and not as rich as others on the island. Her two "best" friends are rich, cold and vindictive to everyone. One is into money and status and will do throw anyone under the bus to get her way (which she does). The other is aloof and snotty, and sets up her friend for revenge. Hilderbrand writes that no one is friends with these two women on the island except for Kayla. Well, I guess someone had to be the sacrificial lamb. This book reads as a good idea that went sour very quickly. Thank goodness it is less than 300 pages.
