Mystery Writers of America through its youth literacy program, MWA:Reads, is sponsoring the Joan Lowery Nixon Contest for children/teens (public, private and homeschooled students) in grades 2nd-10th. The deadline for the contest is March 31. 2008. There are two categories, 2nd-5th grade and 6th-10th grade. The winner in each of the two Categories will receive a cash prize of $250.

How fabulous!  I was googling writing contests for my older kids about a month ago when Reading Rainbow announced their contest and my younger kids decided to write a story for that but I came up empty-handed.
