I absolutely loved this movie, so I grabbed the book to read. The book is actually BASED on the screenplay, not the other way around. And it's so close to the screenplay that you probably follow along with the movie. Still a great story. I think the movie may have been a little better, but I absolutely adore Drew Barrymore and she really did a great job of making Josie come to life.
Very quick read, see the movie first, but the book is worth reading if you want to revisit it.

very cute and close to the movie itself, good read
Movie made based on this book. Great story about a reporter who infiltrates a high school to get a story and has to overcome her insecurities about her past to do so... great read... very funny. Middle to low high school would love this story!!!
