We recommend that anyone who sent PayPal funds to Jennifer file a complaint with PayPal, to try to get their money back.

Did they raise the 50 credit limit per month?

I hope your sister is okay.

I have to leave soon, but as stated in my PM, if you'll send me 1/2 up front I'll send the paypal and then you can send me the balance.  I'll actually take the balance if you could, in fact, transfer more than 50.     I'll be on later tonight.

PBS has not raised the 50 credit limit per month on credit transfers.  If Jennifer has transferred her 50 credits already for this month, she will not be able to transfer any more this month.

I was suspicious about the $1.00 per credit to begin with. Then, well, the rest.....

You can't file a complaint on personal transactions with paypal. Only on purchases.

Is that right, Kate, about Pay Pal complaints? Are you sure?

I checked her profile before and she's been a member for three years. Seems odd she would do something like this now.

Yes Greg I just went on paypal and checked again and that's what their resolution center says. I don't know about calling them though. That might work.

Amanda, that's what I thought too.... seeing as she'd been here for 3 years, I figured it was legit.  I wasn't even thinking about the 50 credit a month limit either! sad

This is what I got on Paypal once I tried to get money back:

"We're sorry, but this transaction cannot be disputed because it is not a purchase of goods or services. Please contact the recipient directly."

I called paypal and the person I talked to said they would investigate, but that I should try to get transaction cancelled through my bank or credit card company. They also said that you should call them at 888-221-1161 and ask for disputes and claims and that the more info they had the better they would be able to investigate this person. I also told them about the e-mail address.

I had checked her profile too and I even asked her about the limit and she sid she was sending from her Mom's account, too. I really didn't have the money to throw away but did need the credits. Seems like I read more books then I can send out. LOL   Anybody want a deal from my bookshelf just let me know!!

I was mostly just trying to help her out too... I looked at her profile before sending anything, thinking that if she'd been here for 3 years that it was legit.  Guess I learned my lesson! frown
