  • We remind our members that asking for credit GIFTS is strictly prohibited.  Credit LOANS may be arranged following the rules in the Book Bazaar Rules Topic (item 7 under General Rules).
  • We also note that posting books and declining to send any of them violates the Terms of Use and invalidates the startup credits, and using startup credits in such circumstances constitutes fraud.

Kemera, you can see the details in your Credit Registry click the blue linked word Credits in the upper right corner of your screen. The most common cause of a -2 credit transaction is when a member received the 2 free start up credits, and then it is determined that their account was not eligible to receive them because they account was not the first one in the household and another account had already received them. If you can't determine from your Credit Registry, you can use the Contact Us link in the lower right under Company and send in Feedback to find out.

Kemera, if it's true that you did decline/ignore too many incoming requests ( and it's not a computer glitch) then a good tip is to go through your wishlist and get rid of any books you no longer want/need so they won't be offered to you and you won't have to cancel all the time.  You should do this every now and then because wants/needs change now and then.  If the problem was that you were away for a while and PBS had to cancel several incoming requests for you, then you should set your account to "Vacation Hold" when you're going to be gone for a while.  Just hold your mouse cursor over "My Account" at the top of the page and scroll on down to "Vacation Hold".    Hope these tips help!  laugh

Yes I think it was on auto or something I don't know why it kept saying I declined too many. It has to be what you said because I was away for a while. I just hope they give me the two credits they took away back. Thats two more books I could read. I hope everything gets settled is all.

If it looks like you posted the 10 books and then weren't honoring the requests for them, they may have taken the start-up credits away. If you become active again and begin sending books when they are requested and honor 10 requests, you may be able to get them to give you the start-up credits. But if it looks like someone posted books to get the free credits, and then they don't send those books when they are requested, the system will take the free credits back because they weren't earned.

Using Vacation Hold when you need to be away from your account is a good idea to avoid it looking like you are ignoring requests.
