So I got a WL book today. It's in almost mint condition other than a 1.5 inch section cut messily out of the cover.  This is technically unpostable right? On the one hand I can still read the book but I can't repost it here either.  It's not like a tiny little corner cut out by a UBS. But a 1.5 jagged section.  Not from a new member either although they have their books sent/received info hidden.  I pm'd them but I feel kind of guilty even though the only thing I can do is offer it as a freebie after I read it and the last thing I need is another unpostable book.

I know what you mean. I just got another crappy book - totally coming apart in the middle, pages almost completely lose - and *I* feel bad about having to complain AGAIN.  I swear, I'm sometimes not sure PBS is worth the stress.

Actually I think this book might have been beat up in transit. The packaging was torn. She said it wasn't like that when she sent it and considering the book is such good condition otherwise, I've decided to chalk it up to postal abuse.  I told her I wasn't expecting a credit back.  Oh well.  It's a shame that it's unpostable because that's the only thing that's wrong with the book.
