I am finishing up Margaret Maron's Deborah Knotts series and need suggestions on new authors.  I read pretty fast and have read alot of authors/series and am looking for your suggestions!  I have read Tami Hoag, Nora Roberts, Greg Ies, Harlan Coben, Kay Cooper, Catherine Coulter, Janet Evanovich, and alot of others.  Any ideas of new authors?  I like mysteries, but also enjoy mysteries with the paranormal thrown like the ghosts and pyschics.

If you haven't read this cozy series you should!  Victoria Laurie writes a series featuring Abby Cooper who is a psychic.  I've only read the first one but have the others to read and I have found the books to be very funny along with being a cozy mystery.

A few other paranormal type mysteries:

Madelyn Alt

Shirley Damsgaard

Have you read Kay Hooper?  you said Kay Cooper but wasn't sure if that was a typo or a different author.

I'm loving the Harper Connely series by Charlaine Harris.  It was recommended on here and I'm really hooked on it.  I also like David Hunt/ William Bayer for an unusual take.   In my review of T. Jefferson Parker's, The Fallen I said:   The premise is so fascinating, that the main character, a police detective, can see others' emotions, projected as colored shapes from their words--a neurological condition called synethesia.  I think Parker is really good and underrated.   Sheez, this is an infinite subject!!

Have you tried Sue Grafton's Kinsey Millhone series?  Also, I just started reading the Sarah Booth Delaney books by Carolyn Haines.  I've only read 2 so far, but really liked them.

I have nothing new to add, but I wanted to second Bookmonkey's recommendations of Joe Lansdale, Dana Stabenow, and Katy Munger.  I rarely ever run into anyone who's read the Katy Munger books and I love them!

And ditto F. Paul Wilson - another one of my all time favorites.

I like Victoria Laurie's Ghost Hunter series. I think there are about 4 books now. I've read all the ones that are out and I have the next one WL. I also love Alice Kimberly's Haunted Bookshop mysteries. I have read all of the others and have the newest one WL as well.
