I am looking for good books that will aide me in developing a deeper walk with Christ.  no occultic books though please.

Do you have a particular interest in mind like prayer, bible study, etc?  Might help us to give you some recommendations.

Becoming A Woman Of Prayer (Becoming a Woman) :: Cynthia Heald

 

Cynthia Heald has several different books out that would probably be helpful.  Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer, Kay Arthur are very good authors and would have something that you would like.

Just noticed another author's name:  Elizabeth George

I've never read her but she is very good from what I have heard.

Joyce Meyer... she has quite a few different books which relate to specific struggles Christians face & how to understand & apply what you learn to get through them.

Charles Stanley books are very practical and helpful.  You might also try Max Lucado.
