I just finished reading "The Shape Of Mercy" by Susan Meissner and have to say that I loved it! The book intertwines a story of a girl (Mercy) charged with being a witch back in the Salem days with a contemporary young lady who gets hired to transcribe Mercy's diary. The life lessons that play out as the main character, Lauren, reads and transcribes the diary are very timely and very accurate. I found it very hard to put the book down once I had started. FYI -- it won't be on my bookshelf until the usual circuit of family and friends is complete. Sorry!! But if you get the chance -- give it a read.
