I just received my new Kindle!  Yay!  I purchased the $79 version but wanted to see what you had to say about covers.

Is there one that you would recommend?

I was thinking about this one:

Belkin Verve Tab Folio for Kindle, Purple

Then I saw the sleeves so just wondered which one works the best.

mine's the previous generation (K3 or Keyboard).  i prefer to read without a cover, so i picked a padded sleeve.  i got it for travelling, but i use it at home now too as it keeps the dust off, and protects the screen for if the cats walk across it, plus a little bit of padding in case it gets knocked off the side table.

this is the one i got: Belkin Vue Kindle Sleeve (Fits 6" Display, Latest Generation Kindle), Perfect Plum

I don't really like the corner tabs. I prefer the one that the Kindle slides in. My covers came from ebay. This is one of the ones I have - but I didn't like the white at all and I put decals all around the edges. Might look tacky but I like it. I should add--the one pictured is by CE Compass and is the one I have. I bought a Chinese knock off in black, which looks identical--but the magnet no longer sticks!!! Crap. I have another cover, a no name, from an ebay seller, which is thickly padded, very nice, dark blue, love it. Was about $15 as I recall. You'll have to search and see what is out there for the Kindle you bought.

Thanks!  I only had a few minutes last night to check out the ones on E-Bay and am going to look some more.

For some reason, I thought that I had read about problems with some of the covers but that may have been after they started coming out with the Kindles.

There was a problem with some of the covers that Amazon sold for the kindle keyboard, I think it was the unlighted ones. One thing I've never liked about their covers (besides the price) is that they are held onto the reader by little clips that go into holes in the reader. No thanks! Anyway, I think they fixed the problem so the covers are fine now.
