I picked this book up last year because a member of my online mommy's group said her mother-in-law wrote it. It's usually not my genre, but this was a great Summer read full of woman power and a well-told story. I must admit, my mother is 50-something and I identified with her daughter, I think I would go a little crazy myself if my mom told me she was pregnant! *laugh* Lu's flip attitude is a little "yeah right" but it's also infectious and had me laughing (and crying once) right along with her. The ending, while predictiable, also made me happy (okay, I'm a sucker for good endings, kill me). Well worth a read.
I absolutely loved this book. It was really great. Everything I thought it would be and more. Highly reccomended. =)
I loved this book! Couldn't wait to get to the end.
a very tasty brain candy book!
Great story with lots of humor.
Menopause MomLit! Lu is 50 and divorcing when, oops, that last vacation with her soon-to-be ex has conceived a lasting momento. Lu's travails in the high-pressure and youthful magazine publishing world complicate her life changes.
Very entertaining and uplifting story...
A delightful book about an unexpected pregnancy at an "advanced" age. Very sweet and enjoyable
