I ordered a book some time back and it said they would mail the 12th. Which was a long time but.... so the  12th has passed and no mailing yet, I sent a message, and no answer yet. What do you all do when someone says they will mail and it seems to take forever. ???? I have had a request and answered and mailed the same day.I guess alot dont do that.??????????????

From the Help Center:

What if the sender agrees to send the book, but doesn't mark it mailed before the deadline?

  • If there is another copy of the book available, your request will automaticlally be passed along to a new sender.
    • You will not get an email notifying you if this happens.
  • If there is not another copy of the book available, the request will be canceled, you will get your credit back, and the book will go onto your Wish List
    • You will get an email notifying you if this happens

The sender has 5 days to mark the book mailed from the time s/he accepted the request if the "I can mail within 2 days" button was selected. If the person selected an alternate date, the person has until 2 days after the selected date. If the person doesn't mark it mailed, then the order will cancel ("time out") and roll over to the next person in line.

Just sit back and let the system do the work for you. If you request it, it will come. Sometimes it may take a bit of processing, but it will come!

Well they have until 2 days after to mark the book mailed. If they don't, the request will get passed on to the next person. You'll be able to see when it transfers to a dif person by looking in your transaction archive and on the books requested or in the mail tabs.  If you end up with 2 books, you don't have to give a credit to the 1st person who didn't mark it mailed.  You only have to give a credit to the person who marked it mailed.

They give 5 days to accept a request and then 7 days to mark it mailed. Some people have money issues and need time to scrounge up the postage.  Others are just busy and aren't sure when they'll get to the PO.
