Just was browsing around on Amazon and saw that Michael Crichton is coming out with a new historical fiction.  I was a little surprised, since obviously, he died last year, but when I clicked on it, it says that the book was found as a full manuscript in his files after his death.  It's called Pirate Latitudes and it's coming out 11/24/09.  I promptly put it on my WL.  Michael Crichton + pirates sounds pretty awesome.  Just thought I'd make you all aware in case you hadn't heard.

I am actually really excited about this book! Crichton has another book of H/F that I thought was very well done - "The Great Train Robbery".

It's set in Victorian London, is based on a true story, and is a page turner of a book! I enjoyed every page of it. ;-)

I've already pre-ordered this last book...for just NINE BUCKS at Amazon! I actually pre-ordered a total of four books that were just nine bucks each. Apparently, Wal-Mart and Amazon are in some kind of price war for pre-orders and I'm taking fuill advantage of it. ;-)

The other books I pre-ordered for nine bucks:

  • The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver - Really looking forward to this one too!
  • Under the Dome by Stephen King
  • Breathless by Dean Koontz
