New Moon was my favorite of the series....even though it was most peoples least favorite. This one is heavy on the Jacob...and I can imagine Edward fans were mighty dissapointed by that. I was not a big Edward fan for the first two books...his character didn't win me over until book 3. I love a good love triangle....and this book delivered. My heart broke for Jacob. Fortunately, Meyers made him almost unlikeable in book 3 and I got over it.

Yes, this one will break your heart in two, but don't give into the temptation to skip to the end and then read the rest. You have to travel with Bella and heartbreak to understand her actions in Eclipse. The best advice is to read New Moon twice. I was anxious the first time around, but knowing what happened at the end the second time I read it made me truly appreciate this book. This is by far my favorite of the four (five if you count the unreleased Midnight Sun) books.

I loved the tone of this book. The author writes in the first person, through the eyes of Bella, an average girl who wants to be a vampire. Throw in a few other creatures of the night, one who is in love with Bella, and we've got a wonderful and realistic story! The plot is very believable and the characters are not flat. I can't wait to read the next book in this series!
