Is anyone else anxiously awaiting April 28th for the new Nora Roberts book?  I know I am!  She is one of my favorite authors and I wasn't really happy with her last trilogy with the vampires (I didn't even read them all, shocker for me!!).  This one, Vision In White, is part of a quartet which is different for her, so I am excited about that too.  Its a trade paperback which mean I need to spend more to buy it b/c I like to keep her books but oh well!  Just wondering if anyone else is excited too, lol.  I got my order in at Amazon already :)

Yes!! --I'm on freaking tenterhooks waiting for it! Though I didn't realize we'd have to wait till the end of the month!

The Vampire books... those were the historical trilogy, right? I couldn't bring myself to read them... I keep meaning to at least try them, but I wasn't sure if her historicals were as good as her moderns. And to be honest I wasn't sure if she could pull off a vampire story. Maybe eventually.

But I Loved the the Sign of 7 trilogy! and Tribute is on my list of all time favorites!

I'm WAY behind on her books :-( used to I was chomping at the bit for them but after waiting over a year for one trilogy to finish then she got all paranormal on me long before I was ready for it..well I went on to other authors though I did go back and read the key trilogy and the three sisters island trilogy. I got Tribute from the library and really really enjoyed it! I think my favorite trilogy of hers is the Born In, esp the last 2! and Montana Sky was good too and Hidden Riches just 'bout had me collecting art!

I loved Hidden Riches! and The heroine from the first of the Key trilogy (my first NR!)...Malory is one of my favorite heroines! --though she reminded me a bit of Quinn from Blood Brothers who I also thought was awesome :)

I've only been reading her books for the last 6 or 7 months (Ibought a lot of like 40-some of her books from eBay) but I can't seem to make myself read the older  (80's) ones... Doesn't she have a book where the Hero keeps calling the Heroine a dame? I think i read a chapter of it, but got so annoyed i had to put it down!

I love her older stuff but I haven't read much of her lately since she went mainstream.  I do notice that her older stuff keeps getting re-issued.

I think she has a special NR symbol or something like that on the new books, to indicate that it's the first time in print for them.

Ok, I'm curious, what is the name of the new book coming out? Which books are the vampire books? Ok they must be the Circle books, I have them in my TBR. I have the Key books too, are they any good?

Oh, I was talking about the Sign of 7 trilogy...that was the one I could not get into for some reason.  Maybe there were no vampires, I don't know, I don't think I finished the first one.  Whoops.  The Key books I enjoyed.  I need to reread them...its been awhile I don't even really remember them.  The Born In trilogy is a good one, I agree!

Her new book is titled Vision In White and seems to be a contemporary novel this time...no paranormal or magic....I think

I have only read a couple of books by Nora Roberts but one of the ones I did read is a movie tonight on Lifetime TV.  HIGH NOON.  I may have to watch it.

Anne,

What everyone tends to call the vampires books are actually the Circle trilogy--One of the few trilogies of hers I never actually finished.  I definitely could not get through them--and I'm a paranormal fan

The Key trilogy is actually one of my favorites of hers, although I have seen reviews that say it is totally unbelievable.  But again, I'm a para fan, so I can throw reality out the window :)

I also really like the Sign of Seven trilogy (NR latest), but do admit that the last book was pretty difficult to get through as I didn't really like the two main characters that much, and they didn't seem to like each other either

HTH,  Heather

Thats right Heather.  I didn't finish the Circle trilogy either.  These past two sets for her I just couldn't get into for some reason.  I'm not huge on paranormal but I really enjoy her as an author but nope.  I think thats why I have my fingers crossed that this new quartet is good!  I need some good Nora Roberts...its been a few years, lol.  I don't mind her stand alone novels but I really enjoy multi books

I really enjoyed the Circle trilogy, the 7 trilogy was just ok for me.  Has anyone watched the movies on Lifetime?  I feel like they took my least favorites of her stand alone books and made them into movies.  The only movie they made from a book I loved was Carolina Moon and it was eh...

She also has a new romantic suspense coming out in July called "Black Hills".  And Brynn, I have to agree with you about the Lifetime movies.  Even if I have enjoyed the book, the movie did not do it any kind of justice, IMHO.

I've watched all the movies.  I have not really enjoyed any of them.  I didn't mind Midnight Bayou or Carolina Moon, but like you said Brynn, they are just eh.  I'm looking forward to watching Tribute.  I wish they would make some of her trilogies into a mini series or something instead of just doing her stand alone books.

I used to love her but have not read anything new for a long time (I think I must have gotten burned out but I just didn't like her anymore).  I think it is time to give her a try again.  I put a request in at my library for the new and to get my feet wet again.  So yes I am looking forward to it.

I am looking forward to her new books. Her books are what got me back into reading about 5 yrs ago. I'm pretty sure I've read just about all of her books. I will admit I have the Circle trilogy in my TBR pile, it's been there since the books were released but I just can't convince myself to read them. I am not big on paranormals, especially ones with vampire storylines.

I've  watched a few of the lifetime movies and I really didn't care for them, but then I don't see how any 350+/- page book can be done justice in a 2hr made for TV movie.

The Circle trilogy got me hooked on Paranormal.  However, I've only read the first of the Sigh of 7....I thought it was slow and there is so much on my TBR pile that I just can't seem to make myself pick that one up.  I thought her Circle trilogy was one of her best and I was in tears by the end of the 3rd one.  I have yet to check out High Noon yet either.
