Excellent guide for living with the majestic and much maligned (and misundertsood) Pit Bull Terrier. With all the bad press Pit Bulls have received, it's always refreshing to read the perspectives of someone who obviously loves the breed and wants to see the public educated properly about the true nature of these very intelligent, very loyal, and very gentle creatures (yes, gentle! - as with any other breed Pit Bulls are only agressive when "trained" (read abused) to be so). That being said, they do have their own unique idiosyncrasies and, dare I say it, problems (like chewing - mine can go through a compressed rawhide stick in less than 15 minutes!), and the author does a fine job of explaining why this is so and how to deal with them. Very good reference to counter those idiotic "breed bans", too. Four paws up!
