when do you recieve your credit as soon as the person requests the book and you agree to send it?
Also how long does itt take for a person to request the book and the other person get the e-mail stating
someone is interested? thanks
When you receive your credit depends on how you mail your book.
1. If you go to the PO and mail it over the counter, you will get your credit when the recipient marks the book received.
2. If you use PBS-DC (this is clearly spelled out on the mailing books page) you will get your credit the first time your package is SCANNED. Some people have reported success in getting their package scanned as soon as it hits the PO -- others have found their packages don't get scanned until receipt -- others have found their packages get delivered without ever being scanned at all!
3. If you use PBS printable postage you get your credit fastest -- as soon as you click that you have mailed the book. So if you are needing credits fast, this is your best option!
If you choose to mail without any delivery confirmation, you'll receive your credit when the person receives the book you mailed. (The orderer marks it received.)
If you use PBS Delivery Confirmation (using PBS money you can deposit via the kiosk) you'll receive your credit when the package is scanned by the US postal service enroute or on delivery, or when the package goes "lost in the mail" (either literally or if the recipient does not mark it received). The PBS DC gives you credit assurance.
If you use PBS Postage, you'll receive your credit when you've clicked on the "book has been mailed" button.
Don't hesitate to check the Help Center or ask your assigned Tour Guide some questions. You can also get live help from tour guides who are currently online by sending them a PM through the Help->Live Help option under the Help Center.
You can also feel free to ask here! :)
Welcome to PBS!
Hi Dan and welcome to PBS! Here's a link to the Help Center: LINK I think you'll find some great answers in there.
The short answers to your 1st question is you get an instant credit if you use PBS postage, quick credit if you use PBS delivery confirmation, and you get your credit when the other member gets the book if you don't use DC or PBS postage.
I believe that PBS send out and email right away when a book of yours is requested. All the info will come up on your account page, too.
