 From EC's facebook page.

Right. Drum roll time. Here is the new UK cover for THE GREATEST KNIGHT. It was being repackaged for later this summer along with A PLACE BEYOND COURAGE and THE SCARLET LION as the Marshal trilogy, but TGK is almost out of print in the UK, this was ready to go, so it's being let out a few months early. It wasn't the model I originally chose, but he's done a darned good job I think. I love it! Ignore the bottom left corner. I've blurred it because the other 2 book covers are there for publisher design purposes and not finished, so I've scrubbed them out.

I like the basic idea, but that model just doesn't work for me.  Too pretty boy.  No toughness, physically or in demeanor.  And Marshall had to have a lot of both.  This guy is to William Marshall as sparkly Twilight vampires are to Dracula.

I agree Sharla I don't picture William Marshall that pretty, I picture as very ruggard with well defined features. Then again no one ever looks like I expect them to.

I agree with Sharla & Alice ...  I'm not seeing a lot of leadership, strength or intelligence in our new cover boy.

Have you all have seen the photo shopped effigies videos?  It would be interesting if they did that with The Marshal's effigy at Temple Church.

He is very pretty, a little too pretty.  I picture the Marshall as much more hard edged as well.  It would be awesome to see a photo shopped image of him too Letty!

I pictured him a little more rugged too.  His effigy isn't as detailed or 3D-ish as some of the ones I've seen the recreations on, so it may not work as well.  It also seems to have some damage to it - probably from the roof that caved in on it during WWII when the church was hit by a bomb.
