I am new to this site and loving it so far, what a great way to share books!!  I do have a question regarding book credits.  In the last couple of weeks I have had 8 book requests and mailed all out.  The postage and/or DC have been done in different ways, some here with PBS, some at PO.  But I have marked them all as shipped, here on PBS.  When I look at my mailed list only three show up.  Do they not show up until received?  If so, how does anyone keep up with pending book credits.....I'm confused....please help......thanks....barbara

Check your transaction archive Barbara. Some of them may have been received already. Also, you can keep track of your credits by going to your accout, and then clicking on your credit registry. It will show you a break down of the credits added and subtracted and the books that each one was for.

Also you wont recieve quick and instant credits unless you use the DC or postage FROM PBS. If you mailed some with DC or PBS postage then you would get the credits for them quickly but ones that are mailed without it will not be added to your account until the books are recieved. Marking them shipped is mandatory its the only way the site knows you did mail them. If you used PBS postage marking them mailed gives  you an instant credit but if you used postage from the PO or stamps then marking them mailed just lets the site know you mailed them.

So I checked transaction archive and credit registry, both show the same 3 books credited as received.  So I quess the other books are the ones I sent via a different postage source.  I did see a list on here somewhere that showed all book requests sent to me(it showed the missing books), now I can't find it...can someone direct me to that....thank you....barbara

Wow! I was typing a response to Barbara and the power went out in my office! Talk about freaky, but at least we are getting some rain!

Anyway, the Transaction Archive will show all books you have ordered, and sent out. You should be able to match that up with the credit registry to figure it all out.

Also, I see you have the printable postage flag. This means that when you use printable postage, the second you mark that you have sent the book you will get your credit for that transaction. Even though the book has not been received yet.

If you use USPS DC you will not get your credit until the member marks that they have received the book.

The Transaction Archive is only going to show completed transactions. Those that are sent (but not yet received) should be under the various tabs on your main account page. There's a tab for books enroute to you, books you've mailed, wishlist holds, etc. If you do not see them under those tabs nor in the transaction archive, and you're positive you marked them all as mailed within the time frame allotted, I would contact R&R under the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page and then use the feedback button. The only reason I can think of as to why the books would not show up is that the orders were cancelled somehow, either by the sender, or by the system if you didn't mark them mailed within the allotted time frame. But if you DID mark them mailed, they should be showing up under that tab.

You can find those tabs if you first click on "my account."  Tabs for any pending transactions will be down just a little below the "my account" tab, beneath the "message from the librarian" welcoming you back to your account.

Thanks for the great help.  I've checked all those various places suggested and the 5 books are no where to be found.  They were all marked as mailed this past Monday and I took them to PO that day.  I know I'm not "bonkers" as I saved the receipt from the PO.........So do you all think I should just wait this out for a couple of weeks til books are received and marked....or should I follow up on this now......Thanks again......barbara

Oh, Forgot something.   If I use PBS postage for DC# only, will the system then track items requested and shipped?  Also does PP allow postage printing for items not paid thru their system?  If so can someone provide link or where to look on that .We use PP daily for ebay purchases and it sure would be a nice option.  Also,  I have used UPPS click & ship for items before, but could not locate an option for media mail or first class.  Can someone direct me to these links.     Thanks so much, everyone here has been great about responding........Barbara

Barbara, you should follow up on the missing book transactions. Click on the Help Center menu and choose Contact the PBS Team from the next page. Send them the titles of the book transactions you can't find and tell them where you've already looked. Before doing that though, you might take a look at your Club Communications page. This page shows you all the emails that PBS has sent to you in the past 30(?) days in reverse order. There might be some info there about what happened.

If you send a book with PBS DC, then you can click on the details button and get a list of every time it's scanned along the way. You will also get your credit the first time it's scanned instead of waiting for the requestor to mark it received.

PBS does not yet have the option to print postage for non-book packages. You can print an address label with delivery confirmation, but no postage. That option is under My Account / Custom DC.

when you say PP do you mean Paypal?

if so here is the link you can use to ship anything thur paypal.

and if you mean PBS. no you can only ship the book orders.
