I just got my Nook Color today. I got it from HSN and it was to have 100 free ebooks already on it. However, I cannot find the books. Shouldn't they be there in the Library?  All it shows there is 2 user guides and 2 children's books. Is there anywhere else they could be and if so how do I get to them? And who do I contact for support...HSN or BN? Thanks for any help!

You should send your overpriced Nook Color back to HSN and buy it from B&N. B&N is selling it for $249. HSN is ripping people off. Those '100 free ebooks' are mostly freebies and classics you can download for free from B&N. You got ripped.

Well,  did like that I can pay in monthly installments and I can also return it within 30 days for any reason. which I'm probably going to do

Monthly payments do make a hugh difference when looking to buy something, even if you have to pay a little bit more.

As for your ebooks, have you set up an account at BN and registered your NC yet?

Maybe after setting up the account and syncing your NC somehow the books are then added to your library.

Just a thought, hope it helps.

I just can't imagine paying that much more just to be able to make payments...

Susan, I too got the Nook Color from HSN because I could put it on easy pay as the budget is really tight now. The free books were in the Nook box in a small clear plastic case with a 2 GB micro disk. I almost missed it. I like this feature rather than having a huge assortment of classics I'm not interested in reading or rereading already loaded on the reader. If you don't want to fool with inserting the disk, you can download them free from the Barnes & Noble site. So far, I'm really loving the NC. If you can't find yours, contact HSN first to see what they tell you. Hope you enjoy you NC as well.

All the people complaining about the over pricing amuses me. Do your research before you buy a big ticket item and you wouldn't have been fooled. Shame on them, it's not HSN's fault!
