I posted 11 books to get started. Why do I have to pay for credits? Or am I in the dark about all this.

Yes but they say I have to pay for them or is that their value. I just don't understand

you only have to pay for credits if you want a book and you don't have any credits in your account. You get credits when someone orders a book from you- you send it - and they get it.

I have 3 credits and wanted to order a book. I get a message saying I haven't confirmed my email but I have. Sorry I don't have any books that you have in your wish list.

Reba -- you do not have to pay for credits. When you joined and posted your first 9 books, you got 3 gift credits. You can see them if you go to your My Account page. There's a little table at the top that lists Credits, PBS Money, Books Posted, Money Saved. You should have a 3 under Credits. You can use these credits to request books for yourself. You did not pay anything for them.

After you've spent the 3 gift credits, then there are two ways to get more credits.

1) The books you posted will get requested by other members. When that happens, you need to print the wrapper. At that time, you have a choice of buying Delivery Confirmation and Postage through PBS. You do not have to buy those things here. You can choose "no extra services" on the print wrapper page and then you don't pay anything here, but you do have to pay for postage at the Post Office.

2) You can buy credits in the Kiosk.

If you're seeing a message that says you have to pay for credits, please tell us what you're trying to do and where you see that. Between us we can probably figure out what's going on.

ETA: Oh, you posted more info while I was typing. When you first joined, you got an email that had a link in it to click on to confirm your email. You have to click on that link before you can order books. That's what they mean by "confirm your email address". If you deleted that email, there's a link on the book order screen to send yourself another copy.

You should have gotten a private message from your Tour Guide when you joined. He/She may be able to answer this question for you. As for what I can tell you. You should have 3 credits for posting your 9 origional books. Try reconfirming the email. Maybe you missed a step in it.

Oh and Michelle wasnt asking you specifically for WL books. That is her signature it will be on all of her forum posts. Like the one I have up about the penpal registry.

Reba, definitely try to confirm your email again and if it's still not working, go to Contact Us at the bottom of the page, then go to Leave Feedback.

As for credits, Cathy is correct - you get three free credits after posting your first 9 books - after that, you'll get a credit for every book you send out!  (If you use PBS delivery confirmation, you'll get the credit as soon as you mail; otherwise, you'll get the credit when the book is received.)

OK you guys I did try to re confirm but am still getting the same message. I am going now to see if those credits are under Credits....BTW, gotcha on the signature thing Chris............Reba

do have the credits in Credits. Still getting th emessage about the confirmation, even signed out and signed back in. I just found I have another problem. I clicked to convert reminder books to my wish list and they won't go.GGGGRRRRrrrrrrr

At the bottom of every page there is a link that says contact us. From there you can send in feedback I saved you the trouble though. Just click on the blue link and it should take you there. You can send an email to either the librarian or founders (whoever gets it) they should be able to clear it up for you.

Reba;  In your reminder list, every book should have a number  showing how many books are listed in the system.  If there are any book posted, it will not go to your Wish List. You can order them directly from "order this book".

As Rhonda said above, the Tour Guide you were assigned (she will be on your Buddy List), or any Tour Guide will be able to help you, as well as here in the Question Forum.  You can also go to Live Help (click The Help Center) and PM any Tour Guide that is online.

Hang in there Reba! It can seem overwhelming at first.

Yes, as everyone has said, you need to confirm your E-Mail address first. Make sure you are using a current version of the browser you are using. The site works best with Firefox, but it will also work with other browsers.

If you still can't confirm your E-Mail, try clearing all your cookies and internet files and try again. Make sure you have the correct E-Mail listed. If you are still having problems use the feedback link to contact the site.

As for your reminder list, you can put those books back onto your wish list by looking at your reminder list and clicking convert the books.

Hang in there and remember, you do have a Tour Guide that can assist you as well. Check your Buddy list for who it is!

Chris, June and Diane...........I have sent several messages to my tour guide. Just sent another from the my buddy's page. I am going to take a break from this right now. Maybe it will all fall into place a little later.......Thanks you guys........and gals........Reba

If you use PBS delivery confirmation, you'll get the credit as soon as you mail; otherwise, you'll get the credit when the book is received.

Actually, that's if you use PBS POSTAGE WITH PBS DELIVERY CONFIRMATION to get an instant credit. Otherwise, the credit will come when the book is scanned or when the book is marked received.

Reba, you can also use Live Help through the Help Center.

From your front page, go to the "Club Communications" link and find the confirmation e-mail message. You should be able to click from there. (Or cut-and-paste the link into your browser.) Once the e-mail is confirmed, things should fall into place.

Also, check your spam filter to make sure that your PBS e-mails are not being tagged as spam.
