Niccolini is no ordinary night watchman in the train yard. He has a special talent: he can sing overwrought locomotives to sleep. A beautiful art book as well as a delightful children's picture book for the whole family. All the illustrations, while night scenes, are easy to see, full of action, with lots of little things to look for, and reflect the story perfectly.

The absolute sweetest book you can get for any child interested in trains or any sort of transportation. It has gorgeous illustrations that even a so-sick-of-Thomas-I-could-scream mom will love. Niccolini is the night watchman? engineer? at the trainyard. The trains complain that they can't sleep, so he starts singing them lullabies every night. Soon the word gets out to the neighborhood moms, who bring their babies when they are fussy. Finally, the inevitable happens. One night there are so many crying babies that nobody can hear Niccolini sing. The trains save the day by playing a lullaby with their horns.
