If you love puns, slapstick both physical and (especially) verbal, and political/private eye spoofs, this is for you. "Night of the Avenging Blowfish" is to spy and political thrillers what "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" is to science fiction. Utter nonsense, but utterly hilarious.

It took me four tries and 2 years to finish this book. It was funny. Very funny. The story did not interest me. Actually, looking back, I'm not sure there was a story. Just a really funny guy whining a lot about a girl he wants but can never have, and an inane baseball game, that I'm not sure was ever played. But it was very funny!

Oh, I really enjoyed this book! It was absolutely hilarious! The premise was very original and all in all, I enjoyed this romantic comedy. The whole Spam and cat food thing was particularly funny. It was a silly, fun book that definitely made me laugh out loud more than once!

A story about a Secret Service Agent, Doyle Coldiron, hopelessly in love with a White House secretary, Natelle. Doyle spends most of his time being depressed about being alone and pining after Natelle. However, Doyle has a nutty sense of humor and I found the book hilarious at times (laughing out loud to myself while reading in bed next to my snoring husband), especially when Doyle gets together with his fellow agents. There's other stuff going on in Doyle's life; a softball game to be played by flashlight against the CIA agents (thus the team name "The Avenging Blowfish"), his assignments to protect an tiny island's president, and a dangerous gunfight.
I found it a fast, humorous read, and a good break from all the big novels I've been reading lately!!
