This is the first book by DeMille that I've read. Frankly, I wasn't impressed. The premise, the TWA Flight 800 explosion (1996), seemed to be a great starting point. However, this seemed to be a talky, talky, talky ball of yarn.

John Corey might be smart but he's antagonistic and irritating. He's really full of himself and expected everyone to bow to him. He gripes about everything, especially Yemen; whomever he works for; and just about everything else. He's a turn-off. I cannot imagine how anyone could stay employed, with such an arrogant attitude.

I'd already rated this book with 3 stars until the end of the story. I don't think I will ever pick up another book by this 'author.' I'm just glad this was a library book and not a purchase.
