I have been reading this series and just disovered a new one called the Night Huntree World series. Do you need to read the World series books that fall between the original series so you don't miss out on anything?

I would say no....they are just expansion on side characters, it does not add much if anything to the main Cat & Bones story.

II only read the 1st one and it was too much of a romance novel for my taste so I've skipped the rest.   Hope that helps.

I would say you dont have to.... but the books do run parallel to the Night Huntress series. I started to read First Drop of Crimson, before Destined for an Early Grave. Because the story lines run parallel to each other, First Drop of Crimson did give away some stuff that happend in  Destined for an Early Grave  before I read it. So I stopped reading it and read the books in order.

Id say no too. In fact, i dont think im going to continue with the Night Huntress World series at all. I didnt really love them. I am soooo looking forward to the Night Prince series coming soon though. That will be the spin off series about Vlad and his mate. Cant wait for these!!

It helps to read both Night Huntress World books before you get to Bk 5 of the Night Huntress series (This Side of the Grave) because knowledge of the characters and the circumstances that got them together do help with the flow of Bk 5 and on, but from what I remember, if you don't read the Night Huntress World series, it won't interfere with anything in Cat and Bones personal story.  You'll just be reading about characters who are together and not know their backstory.    If you need it, the reading order is (this includes stories found in anthlogies):

I LOVED both Night Huntress World books (especially First Drop of Crimson) and highly recommend them, so I think they're definitely worth reading! The anthologies are just extra little stories and don't have to be read in order to keep up with the series. Hope this helps!

This side of the Grave had spoilers for the 2 side stories big-time and those characters show up with their spouses in the future Cat & Bones stories.

I would say no too. Honestly, I was loving this series up to Bk 4, Destined for an Early Grave. After that one the whole series  went downhill for me. Still worth reading, but not near as good as the first 3 books. I am hoping the ninth book will be better though. I refuse to give up on Ms. Frost just yet.
