Very, very good read. Two lonely people find each other; one badly hurt from a cheating husband, the other a former workaholic who alienated himself from his family and as a result has a son who wants nothing to do with him. They find each other in Rodanthe and change each others lives forever. Definitely a tear jerker...

What a boring pretext for what could and should have been an interesting read. It took me over a week to finish it. If I had something else to read I probably would never have finished it.
I got the book because I saw the movie trailer, okay so it was because Diane Lane was in the movie.
Still I consider the book and story poorly written and the publisher/editor should be ashamed considering all the typos, grammatical errors and such. I don't recommend the book to anyone.
I am still going to see the movie, after all when Diana Lane is on screen who cares about story line anyway?
