Beautiful gift book. Nim is a Major motion picture and this book has a full color selection of photos from the movie. Nim is a modern girl who uses the computer and email. She is a modern Day Robinson Crusoe. She can chop down banans with a machete, climb tall palm trees, and start a fire with apiece of glass.

So she is not afraid when her scientist dad sails off to study plankton for 3 days leaving her alone on their island. Besides, she has a sea lion to mother her. An iguana for a friend. She also has an interesting new email pal.

But when her father's cell phone calls stop coming, and diaster seems near, Nim has to be stronger and braver than she has ever been.

And she will need all her friends to help her.
