Hi all,

I just got Eternal Prey by Nina Bangs and it's the 3rd in her Gods of the Night series. I was wondering if this could be read as a stand alone or if I need to read the 2 previous books. Has anyone else read them? Liked them?

i've read the previous two and liked them.  i haven't got the newest one quite yet (it's on the way), but knowing who the couple is i strongly suspect this will make a lot more sense if you've read the other two first.  Lia got introduced in the first or second book, and Utah has been in the first two.

I think I had the first two a long time ago and swapped them out before reading because they were sitting on my tbr too long. Oh well:( This one can sit on my shelf  'till I get ahold of the first two, lol. Thanks Ellen:)

I agree with Ellen...there are recurring characters that slowly reveal their (back)stories as the series progresses so the beginning would be helpful.

Just finished reading this. Wondered what your thoughts were? I did not read the first two before this one, I did like the characters, but I found the whole dinosaur thing too unbelievable and found myself wondering, why dinosaurs?? a lot.

I don't think I'm going to read the first two, but I do like Nina Bangs...just not  the dinosaur thing in this series. Does anyone agree?

I decided to post it instead of read it. (Yeah, the dinosaur thing... LOL!) I think I started to read one of her earlier books and just couldn't get into it. Everyone has their own prefrences, though. I mostly prefer Urban Fantasy to Paranormal Romance, but every once in a while I need a good PR fix - Like Larissa Ione's Demonica series :)
