I started reading these books but didn't expect to enjoy them. Samantha Shaw is-well, not exactly my idea of a role model. I admit I was a snob not to mention totally wrong about her. Jennifer Apodaca does a wonderful job of taking a flawed woman with issues and making her funny, warm and a wonderful role model for all of us.

Sam's delight in finding matches for people through her Heart Mates dating service comes through as sincere and endearing. That it sometimes leads to detecting criminal behavior (and leads us to laugh out loud situations!) is a plus and one she finds just as satisfying as her matchmaking.

Book 3 in the series is no different in the quest of finding herself, enjoying her sons and grandfather, and finding a match of her own. Samantha is an intriguing woman.
Situations are not too unrealistic. Humor is laugh out loud. What's not to like. I do recommend this series.

In an effort to help a friend, Sam finds herself in the middle of a murder. This book kept me hopping....never for sure who the killer was...

Despite the title, not too much about soccer or soccer moms, for that matter. Rather cheesy, and full of cliches or phrases that show that the author is trying a little too hard. A quick read, and not unpleasant, just not great.

I liked it, but I didn't love it. This is a fun, light read though. Nice to finish on a weekend with a nice cup of coffee.
