This book was not that great as the first book in the series. I thought this book was lacking in story content and just the story itself. It dealt with a lot more adult situations that were "hidden" in the text. To younger readers they wouldn't figure out about the men wanting to "play with their swords" and how Helen is now a woman thanks to the Moon and how she has to count the Moon now. So yes..a bit more grown up. But I just found all the little hidden content to be a bit over doing it and it killed the story for me. I doubt I get the third book in the series as the series seems like it will continue.
