I manually installed the 1.4 software update last night. It installed without a hitch.
Also downloaded the Netflix app (it's free) and linked it to my Netflix. Works like a charm on my Nook Color. No problems with our stable Wi-Fi connection at home. No skipping or jumping, though I did not watch for a long time.
Haven't had a chance to try anything else, but thought folks would be interested.
