Hi guys. I have a question for those of you who read Nora. Nora has been my favorite author forever. I'm now reading the second in her new trilogy. It's a good book, but I'm having a real hard time really getting into it.Lately it seems to me, they are all basically the same.Is it just me? Of course, now I feel guilty and disloyal for even thinking it. |

No. I agree. Lately, I just feel like it is the same old stuff from before. I still enjoy her writing, but I don't await the next book like I used to. |

I have a lot of Nora in my tbr but haven't read a lot yet but a couple of trilogys and her Robb series. I would imagine that producing that many books could run you out of new ideas after awhile. Lori Foster has basically done the same thing, which is too bad, but it seems to happen. I really enjoy them both though and kind of know what to expect so when I pick one up after reading other things it's like a comfortable pair of shoes. :) |

when I pick one up after reading other things it's like a comfortable pair of shoes. :) That's a good way to look at it. I just started to get into Lori Foster, so we'll see how that goes. So far I really like her. I guess I just feel kinda disloyal for thinking that. I mean my Nora's were always keeper's, lately, I think am I really going to read this again. |

Don't feel badly, Kristy! As you know, I was a mod on her board for YEARS and I've been feeling the same way. I haven't started the new trilogy yet because I always wait until they're all released so I can read all right away. She has wonderful characters but the stories are all starting to be similar. I finally read The Circle Trilogy just recently and enjoyed it but it was one I picked up, put down, picked up again. I will continue to buy her stuff and recommend her but its no longer All Nora, All the Time for me. |

I'm about to start on Blood Brothers tonight so hopefully it's good. I was told by a friend of mine that it was quite scary and she loved it so hopefully we agree. We both really enjoyed the Circle Trilogy so we will see. |

I haven't read the last couple of trilogies..I think the 'key' trilogy was the last I read..didnt finish the one about the witches on the island and didn't read the one with morrigan's something or other...I did lread the 'key' trilogy and liked it. My favorite of hers is the Born in trilogy...I've re-read born in shame several times, born in ice is next favorite though that sister is my favorite overall...dont like maggie much in born in fire but I like the trilogy as a whole. I liked Montana Sky too as well as some of the silhouette/harlequin books she wrote. |
